The people working there and the breakfast were great, and it’s easy to walk to the main sights from this good location. We’d come off an overnight ferry and had been told early check-in was okay, but when we arrived the rooms weren’t ready until 3pm. Once we pointed out that this should have been communicated beforehand, they got them ready in 30 minutes and served us cappuccino while we waited. They handled that really well, and we appreciated it. The room was sparsely decorated, which was fine. The problem was how much seemed broken or poorly maintained: damaged cupboards, mold, dead mosquitoes on the walls, and wear all over. The beds were the worst, with cheap IKEA mattresses and pillows on a wobbly frame that made a good night’s sleep impossible. There were also lots of mosquitoes and very thin walls, so you could hear everything. That’s not good enough for more than 200 euros a night. We asked for a refund for the remaining night and were refused, so we left rather than risk another sleepless night. Great staff and breakfast, but everything else was 1 star.

Modern, clean, and in a really good location. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and I appreciated the room service and self check-in. The room was nicely decorated too. I totally recommend this B&B.

Our room had a lovely balcony and plenty of natural light. It was large, comfortable, quiet, and felt private. Breakfast was good and arrived in our room on time. The location works well if you’re happy to walk about 15-20 minutes to the main attractions. I enjoyed the stroll past the university gardens. This is a great little independent B&B, and you can see the owner put her heart and soul into it.

The room was enormous, bigger than my house, so I didn’t feel hemmed in by bags and walls. Breakfast was simple but really good, and starting the day with their omelets and an even better cappuccino was a pleasure. The beds might not be the comfiest, and it’s about a 10 minute walk to the center. Still, the area is known, and everything else is amazing quality for the price. Highly recommend.
