The room was clean and well maintained, and breakfast in the morning was decent. WiFi only worked in the lobby downstairs. Also, getting to the hotel means going up quite a few flights of stairs, so think about whether you can manage your luggage from the street.

Nadia at the desk made us feel at home right away. She was amazing, warm, genuinely interested, and made it feel like she was there just for us. Hi Nadia, from Bob n' Robin in Canada! The room was comfortable and clean, with a good bed and a huge bathroom. There was a little desk and chair, and the WiFi could be weak in the room, though much better in the lobby. We were lucky to find Hotel Elite. It was affordable, in a 15th Century building, and close to everything we wanted to see in Florence. The train and bus station was a short walk away, as were Uffici Gallery, Duomo, Ponte Veccio and the rest of the city's magic. We'd absolutely stay again and have already recommended it to friends. If you're used to Hilton or Best Western, this might not be your place. We liked that it felt like we were away from home while travelling.

The room was just as adequate as at Hotel Domus, which is affiliated with this hotel and right down the street. The train station is still very close.

There aren't enough shared bathrooms, and the door lintels are very low, well under 6'. WiFi is only available in the lobby.
