The place is cozy, the staff helpful, and the service nice. The location is perfect. But unless you get lucky, you may end up in the smallest room. Ours was way overpriced for its size. It’d be fairer if the price changed based on the room you get.

The host is charming, and all of Florence is within walking distance, including the train station. The stairs got our cardio going, too. This was an absolutely perfect place to stay. I liked Florence more than Rome!

Gabriella gave us great recommendations that helped us plan our time better. The location was great, it felt like a home away from home, and it had all the amenities we needed. Loved our stay. We’ll be back.

I slept comfortably here, even though Florence was hot during my stay. The building is old, but the room was very clean. There’s daily maid service, bed-making, big fluffy towels, and snacks, pastries, espresso, coffee, tea, breakfast items, cold water and juice available around the clock. I’ll definitely come back. Some things to know: there’s construction on floors below, but not in the mornings or late afternoons. It’s three flights of stairs, which makes sense in old Florence, and there are extra pillows in the armoire if the ones provided feel flat. The front desk is open only from 9-2, so contact them if you arrive later. The check-in instructions are clear, like an Airbnb. The value was great, and the location is awesome. The Duomo, Uffizi, good restaurants and shopping streets are all 10 minutes away or less.
