The building door and elevator are both quite narrow, so if you’re bringing kids and a stroller, check the fit first. Our travel stroller only just made it through. Also look both ways when you step outside, since the road is right there and cars sometimes speed past. We stayed two nights with our 7.5mo infant and loved being so central. The apartment had tall ceilings and enough room for us, and they provided a crib for our son. There was a small, cute terrace. The kitchen was tiny, but we didn’t need it. The shower could feel cramped for someone larger, though it worked for us.

My flights were unexpectedly cancelled, so I couldn’t use my reservation. It was non-refundable, but they understood and gave me a full refund. Whenever I asked to speak to a person instead of a bot, I was connected right away with a helpful, professional agent. The response was impressive. I didn’t get to stay this time, but I’ll choose the hotel in the future.

The beds were comfortable and the location was great, but this felt more like an AirBnB than a hotel. For what it costs, I expected cleaning service or laundry access. The room was much darker and greyer than the bright online photos, and even an ordinary shower set off the overly sensitive fire alarm. We were covered in bites every night and left with at least 20 itchy sores each. I can only hope they weren’t bed bugs.

The apartment was very comfortable and perfectly located, with a little kitchenette and bathroom amenities. The power went out on two consecutive days, though, for about an hour each time.

Right in the historic center, with all the Florence attractions about a five minute walk away. My room was very clean and well equipped, and they let me check in early. There’s also free bag storage. One of my best experiences, highly recommended.
