The garden and the whole residence felt so peaceful, even though I didn’t go into the garden myself. My room was clean, tidy, quiet and comfortable, and the place is beautiful. The staff were kind and patient, especially a very polite, gentle nun. There’s controlled access, but if you want to come back late, the nun will give you a key. It felt safe and dependable, and the address is excellent. A great choice in Florence.

The garden and the building are lovely to wander around, and I unexpectedly got to meet other guests there. The photo I attached shows the view from my room. I stayed two nights in January 2026 in a loft room. It was a beautiful, welcoming place when I arrived. The room was basic, but they cleaned and tidied it every day, which I hadn’t expected. I’d read a review saying rooms were cold, and when mine felt chilly before the heating had started, I switched on the fan heater. Breakfast was simple and enough, though a toaster for the bread would be useful.

Our room was freezing all the time because the heater was never on. The washroom was so cramped I could barely fit comfortably to sit on the toilet. The beds felt humid and strange, and our towels were never replaced. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The breakfast is nothing special, just a pastry, bread, butter, fruit, yogurt, coffee and tea. Still, it’s very clean and in a great location. It feels a little creepy, but it’s okay.

The price is hard to beat, and the rooms are clean and secure. It’s a convent right in the heart of Florence, with the main attractions all within walking distance.
