Santa Croce Flat - Modern Apartment

Haithem made a great impression at check-in, helping carry our bags and answering all my questions through WhatsApp with plenty of useful information. The AC was a big help in the 95-degree heat. The location was perfect, and the place was spacious. It was absolutely spotless, cleaner than many other B&Bs I've stayed in. If we return to Santa Croce, I'd love to stay here again.

Our reservation was canceled at the last minute, and I never got a reply.

The flat was clean and reasonably priced, and I liked it.

The biggest concern was someone entering the apartment while we were out, with no warning and no follow-up message. When we asked what had happened, support first denied it despite the evidence, then challenged our account. After we sent photos, they said they would check internally who had gone in and why, but never confirmed the outcome. Communication was also hard to track. They first contacted us through Expedia chat, where we booked, then shifted everything to WhatsApp, making it harder to keep a formal record of our reports. The apartment is centrally located and recently renovated, but that's where the good points stop. Nearby bars and wine bars meant people were shouting and talking through the night, sometimes until dawn on holidays. The place is high up, reached by three narrow, steep flights of stairs. It was dusty and unsuitable for allergy sufferers, with mold traces under the windows and especially around and behind the AC. Its filter and vents were visibly dusty too.
