Breakfast may have been the best we had during our 10 days in Italy. The concierge also helped us out several times, and everyone made the place feel like home. The rooms are beautifully done and suit Florence so well. Service was impeccable, and we were treated like royalty throughout.

The drinks at The Place in Florence are easily the best in the city, and every one is carefully made. Stefano, Paulo, and Diogo are outstanding. They make you feel welcome and well looked after, while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and genuine. If you're after great drinks and wonderful service in Florence, don't miss this spot.

It felt less like a conventional hotel and more like spending a weekend at an artist friend's estate. My husband and I were there for a couple of nights last year, and it remains one of our most memorable visits. The team knows the city incredibly well and helped shape experiences and recommendations that kept us away from the tourist crowds. Stay here if you'd like to see Florence through the eyes of an old school local.
