Hotel Giada & Welt

We've known the hotel and its owners for five years, and they've always been kind and there when we need them. We had a great stay. The kids' entertainers did a great job at lunch and dinner, as well as on the beach. The buffet was excellent, with lots of appetizers, two first courses, two main courses, and a menu for children. Our comfort room had a balcony and plenty of room for two adults and a child. The location was excellent too.

The few good points were the young staff, who were always smiling and friendly, the beach nearby being included in the price, and the helpful staff there. The rest of our stay was a real disappointment. We're a family of two adults, a five-year-old, and a baby, and we usually stay in three-star hotels. This place felt basic, dated, and at best like a two-star hotel, despite several attempts to update its look. The room we were given wasn't the one shown in the quote. It had a double bunk bed, another bunk bed, and a crib, leaving so little space that I couldn't turn over. I raised this right away and was told they'd find a solution, but nothing changed. The room and bathroom were neglected, and there was no bidet. Knowing that ahead of time would have helped with two children. The entertainment was very loud and repetitive. Apart from the activity an hour after lunch, the kids mostly got baby dance at a volume that was too high for the space. The children's area had just one inflatable and a bouncy castle, nothing like the website photo. The food seemed to reuse leftovers from the day before. The chef's creativity is impressive, though, turning yesterday's chicken into cordon bleu the next day. That's obviously down to whoever sets the budget, not the kitchen staff. When I paid, I said I wouldn't have accepted the quote if I'd known the photo showed a different room. I'd never had this happen before, and it felt quite "misleading." I wouldn't recommend this hotel and won't return.

The entertainment team, Samuele and Martina, were fantastic at getting everyone involved in the games. We had a wonderful holiday and will definitely be back. The rooms were well equipped and just the right size, though there was no balcony. I should have checked that myself. There was a small clothesline that worked really well. The hotel was always clean, and the meals were tasty and plentiful, with the option to ask for more.

We're already missing the place now that our stay has ended. The hotel is very close to the sea, the rooms were clean, and the young staff were always smiling and friendly. We felt at home. The dishes were delicious, varied, and generous, and Samuele and Martina were lovely company. Thanks for a wonderful holiday. Highly recommended, and well worth it!
