The pool, beach, and rooms were clean and good, and breakfast was okay, though nothing special. The rest of the experience was frustrating. We asked if our dog could come to breakfast and were told no, then saw two people there with their dogs five minutes later. The staff spoke to us as if they owned the place. When I asked for an iron, I was told they weren’t a three star hotel and didn’t have a room for that. We also asked to add a night to our suite booking. They warned that August rooms were very expensive, but the extra night ended up costing exactly the same as our suite. We asked about underground parking and were told there wasn’t any and they didn’t know where to find it, so I found a spot myself. At checkout, when I asked for a taxi to the garage, suddenly they knew where it was. They also said checkout was at 10, something I’ve never encountered despite staying in 3, 4, and 5 star hotels in over 15 European countries.

The front desk staff were friendly, but the restaurant staff were rude and not welcoming. Our room was above the kitchen, and the noise and smell made it impossible to open the window or sit on the terrace. It was dirty, too, including the towels and bed. This hotel could be good, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

I wanted to get a look inside before deciding whether to stay here in the future. We tried to have a drink, but a very rude concierge challenged us about being in the hotel. When I explained, he said it was “private property.” Then, as we tried to leave through the front entrance, he made us use the back door. That whole ridiculous exchange and the staff’s attitude put me off completely. The hotel felt pretentious and underwhelming. It’s really not that nice.

A lovely place for a holiday right by the sea. The rooms are very clean, the staff are kind, and the food is delicious. Breakfast was fantastic too.

It’s very quiet, with nice staff, and seems mostly suited to older people. But what’s the point of paying so much if you can’t use the pool after 6? The hotel felt boring, with a closed-in atmosphere. Even though we asked, they said it was their policy to go to sleep at 6.
