Hotel Edera

The rooms are old and outdated, and I missed having a fridge, even a small one to chill water and drinks. But if you're traveling on a budget, this is a place you'll be happy with. It's affordable, the service is great, and everyone is really nice and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it.

I came to Jesolo for the 70.3 Ironman on my own, and Matteo and the staff made me feel at home. If you want a hotel stay where everything is polite but cold and you're just a client, look for a four- or five-star place. But if you'd like to feel almost like you're staying with a warm Italian family and save money for experiences that matter more to you than a bathtub or six kinds of cheese, look no further. Hotel Edera is a gem, just a few steps from the main street with its bars, music, people, and all that, yet quiet enough to sleep without drums in your ears. Matteo and the staff were amazing at helping, advising, suggesting, and guiding me. They made my stay much more memorable than a porter in white gloves ever could. There you go. I'm not being paid or bribed. I'm being honest as a man whose family stayed home, who was given the gift of one for the six-day stay and one grueling competition.

The welcome from Mateo and the hotel team made this last-minute trip one we’ll never forget. My wife and I came from Toronto to meet friends visiting from Hungary, and Mateo’s professionalism and warm attitude made us feel at home right away. He and the staff were always smiling and ready to help, and our room was kept beautifully clean. It was a wonderful stay in JESOLO, and we’d return to HOTEL EDERA without hesitation. Would I come back? Yes. It’s a pleasant, affordable hotel with the basics covered and some nice extras. The beach is close, the bus stop is across the street, tickets to Venice can be bought at the hotel, and there’s parking between the two buildings. The food was tasty and varied, with good prices for the area. Each meal portion came with two courses and dessert. We ordered two portions for two adults and our two five-year-olds, which was enough for us, though our kids don’t eat much. Our room was consistently clean, the beds were spacious and the mattresses comfortable, though the pillows less so. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. The TV was small but had more than 250 channels, the biggest selection I’ve seen in a hotel. Staff were helpful and professional, and the owner was often at reception or the bar serving guests. A few things kept it from being five stars: the bathroom was cramped, especially with a child, and the shower didn’t have a cord, which I needed for the kids. Soap and shampoo also weren’t topped up until I asked on day four. Still, a good experience overall.
