Marilena was so thoughtful, kind, and friendly, and made me feel right at home. The rooms, breakfast, and service were all excellent. There’s free parking right in front of the B&B. It’s just outside the historic center, around a 15-20 minute walk, but still not too far. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Marilena ❤️

Marilena greeted us with her sweet daughter Sophia, who even had a little surprise for my daughter. She was wonderful. I stayed here last night with my husband and my 5-year-old daughter Rebecca. Marilena was a friendly, welcoming, and very attentive host, with invaluable advice for exploring wonderful Matera. Her B&B is delightful, quiet, clean, fully equipped, and so well organized. I highly recommend it.

We slept very well in the comfortable beds, and Marilena was incredibly friendly and helpful. Because of the heavy rain, she even drove into town to pick us up. We could safely leave our bikes at her sister’s house in the city center. The house is just outside Matera, a pleasant 20-minute walk from downtown. The room has a small kitchenette, a refrigerator, and a coffee maker. Each morning, bread and pastries were left in a basket outside the door. Highly recommended if you enjoy a quiet night’s sleep. The breakfast at Mrs. Marilena’s kitchen was excellent and varied, and reminded me of being pampered by my own mother. She has two very sweet daughters, Daniela and Sofia, and the atmosphere is truly family friendly. There’s handy free parking near the Sassi. Thanks, Matera, it was wonderful to get to know Marilena, partly through her recommendations.
