La Casa Nei Sassi

The view from the terrace is enchanting, and like many places in the Sassi, breakfast is served at a nearby café just steps away. I loved the feeling of home at La Casa nei Sassi. The room has a kitchenette, a really large fridge, a double bed and an extra mezzanine, while the bathroom has all the basics you need. Simona is so kind, helpful, and knows a lot about the city, its history, and what to visit. Long walks, museums, the main sites, and conversations with local people made me feel that staying in the Casa nei Sassi room was a little like sharing their experience. For me it earns 5 stars, though having breakfast right at the B&B would have been nice.

Simona gave us handy suggestions for things to see and places to eat as soon as we arrived. We spent two nights at this B&B in the heart of Sasso Barisano and had a wonderful stay. She’s kind and helpful, and if we come back to Matera, we’ll definitely stay at La Casa nei Sassi again! Fabio and Antonella

Breakfast on Maturity 5 was truly superb, and the balcony of one of the two rooms had breathtaking views over the Sassi. We stayed one night with the family and felt right at home. The property is in Sasso Barisano, a perfect spot for exploring the whole historic center. Simona is a wonderful woman who did everything she could to make our time in Matera perfect.

We miss you already!!!! Simona was welcoming, professional, and so helpful. Staying right in the Sassi, close to all the main attractions, made Matera’s MAGIC unforgettable. The people of Matera are so hospitable too. Thank you!
