We spent the second night in the Bubble Room, and sleeping peacefully under the stars was an epic experience we won’t forget. The first night was in a standard double room, beautifully designed, spotless, and comfortable, with rustic elegance done well. The food and wine were fresh, full of flavor, and served with care. Everything at Tenuta Danesi, from the surroundings to the atmosphere, felt thoughtfully put together. The hosts were warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about welcoming guests. Tenuta Danesi has a lovely mix of nature, elegance, and genuine hospitality. From the moment we arrived, the place felt peaceful and authentic. It’s one to remember.

The place itself is beautiful, but the breakfast was bad. We booked the Bubble Room for one night to celebrate our anniversary, and it was a letdown. The bathtub wouldn’t heat up, and staff ignored our request to fix the temperature. At 4 a.m., sprinklers started running at full power right on the bubble for 30 minutes straight. The noise was extremely loud and ruined our sleep. When I complained to the administration lady, she answered cockily that it was just like a little rain. The short video below captures the noise. An absolute nightmare. ://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/pb959bmhgvvel55de0bpf/Tenuta-Danesi-Bubble-Room-Matera-Carwash-experience-for-250.mov?rlkey=87t147qdhw4rjiksrygr3q3ty&st=pd1ueocd&dl=0

The care we got throughout the stay, especially from Vera and Isabela, was above and beyond. The food and drink service was worthy of a five-star hotel, and every detail was thoughtfully handled. My husband and I stayed in the Bubble Room at Tenuta Danesi. Sleeping under the stars was magical, and the experience was even better than we’d imagined. It’s one of the most memorable places we’ve ever stayed. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a delicious dinner and spent plenty of time by the lovely pool. The dog got lots of exercise on the nice walks through the fields, too. The hotel is clean, peaceful, and tastefully decorated, set in the countryside but still close to the amazing town of Matera.

The pool and outdoor lounging area are beautiful, and this would be a gorgeous place for a function. Our room was roomy, clean, well kept, and tastefully decorated, with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was a great buffet and included. The building sits peacefully in the middle of a grain-growing property.
