Veduta sui Sassi

The apartment is big and lovely, with an incredible view of the Sassi. It’s close to the center, and there’s even parking for anyone arriving by car, which is hard to find in Matera. Marino is kind and always available, and gave us loads of tips and information for exploring Matera. Andrea and Silvia can’t wait to come back!

We were really happy with our choice. The apartment is spacious, quiet, very clean, and well equipped, though the balcony is a little small. Its location makes it easy to visit Matera, and having parking right downstairs meant we could leave the car and get around without it. The young owners were friendly and attentive, and she in particular speaks French. Breakfast at a nearby bar was good too. Thanks again.

Marino, the owner, was so polite and helpful, and he clearly cares about the place and making guests feel at home. We forgot a sweater, and he hurried over to bring it to us so we wouldn’t have to go back. That kind of effort says a lot. The beds were very comfortable, and the whole property was spotless, from the entry and bedrooms to the bathroom and kitchen. The new kitchen worked well and included a coffee machine, with excellent coffee. Everything is thoughtfully arranged and comes with the comforts you need, including air conditioning in every room, WiFi, and a washing machine. It’s a brand-new property in a very central spot, so you can walk around easily, which is a real help in a city where parking is extremely difficult. If I return to Matera, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else. If it were booked, I’d change my dates. See you soon.

What I loved most about "Veduta sui Sassi" was the calm, peaceful feel of the place, away from the bustle, while still being only a short walk from Matera’s historic center and lively nightlife. The home also has beautiful views and a quiet setting that adds to its atmosphere. The apartment has Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen, and very comfortable rooms. Parking is available right in front. I want to thank Marino again for the location and for being resourceful and willing to share detailed information about this extraordinary city. I hope to come back more often.
