My family and I were left on our own at midnight, with nowhere to stay. We had asked "Giorgio," the property advisor, whether arriving late would be a problem because our flight got in then, and he said it would be fine. But there was no reception and no entry code. We only got inside because the door happened to be open, and the place looked awful in person. It also turned out to be a hostel, not a hotel, with shared bathrooms, despite what we expected from the photos. When we called, he didn't pick up. He eventually replied in chat, said they had no availability, and tried to send us to a place across Milan that looked even worse, while asking for our passports. It was frightening. They seem to be experts at scams and buying positive reviews. The place is terrible, and Expedia, Booking.com, and others are already suing them. Don't fall for it, it's a scam.

We were traveling with our four-year-old, so the room we got was unacceptable. It was a windowless basement, though the listing gave no hint of that and showed several bedrooms with windows. We took photos and videos of its condition. The room smelled unbearable, and there were safety problems too: tiles stored under a staircase, pipes sticking out of the walls, and electrical wires exposed at the outlets. Nobody answered when we called to complain; the person we were dealing with only wanted to message on WhatsApp. They offered us a room with windows for an extra 50 euros. In the end, they said it was a holiday, which they used in part to explain the poor service. Worst experience possible in Milan.

The staff were really friendly and welcoming, and both the room and bathroom were clean and had everything promised. I had a great stay and would come back.

The building had light problems twice while we were there. With the windows covered in black tape and no lights, we had to use our phone flashlights. The wall above the bed was stained, and one towel was dirty. They advertise free coffee around the clock, but although there's a machine, there was no coffee. Our TV had no cable and didn't work, and when we asked, we were told we could only use Netflix with our own account, even though cable channels were listed online. The online description also wasn't clear that the bathroom is shared among several rooms. Before check-in, they messaged us saying we could skip one night's city tax if we left a 10/10 review immediately. We suspect that may be why the rating is higher than 1/10, since the city tax is quite expensive. We stayed at BB Tortona for three nights, and the place felt more like a prison. There were several dodgy things about it, and what you get doesn't match the services shown online. Very disappointing, and we wouldn't recommend staying here.

Stay away. The sheets hadn't been changed and weren't clean. Someone had sprayed them with a strong fragrance that gave me a headache. I've never had an experience this bad. The owners should be ashamed, and this kind of thing ought to be forbidden.
