Hotel Berlino

The room was spacious for two and very clean, with fresh towels. Reception were warm and welcoming. It did get very hot, though, so we had to leave the windows open, and the traffic noise carried on until around 2 a.m.

The neighborhood was quiet apart from the loud room and balcony doors, which startled me now and then. The location worked well, with buses and trams nearby going to pretty much anywhere. The room was just okay and short on basics: the bed was uncomfortable and probably only 180 cm long, there was one outlet far from the bed, and the fridge didn’t work.

The room was in awful shape and clearly needed renovation. We even spotted a spiderweb by the window, and the bed was terrible for a couple. The bidet was the main plus in the room. Staff were helpful, and the location was convenient for buses and trams. Breakfast didn’t impress us either. We’d expected more than sweets.

I’d give the stay four stars, but getting my luggage up to the fourth floor was a real drawback since there’s no elevator. There also wasn’t a designated covered place to smoke, so standing outside in the rain and wind was uncomfortable. I think both details should be included in the description.
