The staff were so helpful and friendly. We arrived early, and they stored our bags, then brought them to the room once check-in was available. Breakfast was really good, with plenty to choose from, and the rooms themselves were nice. The bathroom made every evening a hassle. There was no hot water, and the shower had only a tiny glass panel that barely kept anything in. Its floor was almost flat, so water spread across the whole bathroom whenever we showered. In a room for four, mopping it up each time left all our towels soaked. They need something to stop the water escaping, or a longer glass screen. If you expect to shower often, I’d stay somewhere else to avoid this miserable problem.

Room 104 needs proper double windows with sound insulation. The trams kept passing loudly all night, like they were going right over my head, and I couldn’t sleep. What good is a marble bathroom when the noise is like that? The hotel says it’s non-smoking, but cigarette smoke came through the ventilation and filled the room. The owner should try turning up the AC and see how that feels.

I was traveling with kids, and this was horrible. We got back at about 5 p.m. wanting to shower, but the water was cold. After I reported it, the staff seemed surprised there was no hot water. We were in section B, on the third floor. We went out again, came back close to 10 p.m., and still had NO HOT WATER. Reception said their system needed more time to heat it. I shouldn’t have to wait around for hot water when I want to shower. That’s basic.

The cleaning chemicals were awful and triggered an allergic reaction, even though I’m usually neither allergic nor sensitive. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s nowhere near a four-star hotel, and not even a good three-star one.
