Sparkling Brera

As women traveling alone, we care a lot about safety, and I wouldn’t recommend this apartment to women. A male cleaner came in with his own keys after the cleaning was already done. He could hear music and voices inside, but didn’t knock or explain why he was coming in. When we asked him to leave, he refused and stood in the middle of the living room. We were terrified. We asked the business to call us right away, but the response was very casual and the attitude was poor. It was an awful experience. Communication and updates were poor too, and there was no customer service to speak of. It felt like the business was doing us a favor by letting us stay. After what happened, the rest didn’t matter.

AVOID. My first review was apparently deleted. We were badly robbed here by a staff member. The doors only had keypads with codes, no old keys. More than $6k worth of items was stolen. There was zero empathy, and I was threatened and told to keep my mouth shut. Worst business ever. Do not stay here!

The place was dirty, smelled like a sewer, and stayed noisy day and night. The bed was uncomfortable, especially the pillows. Instead of fixing the hotel, they chose to rename and rebrand it. And of course, the reviews on the booking site don't seem real!

The apartment and its location were superb, though the bed was only okay. We got unlucky with mosquitoes and slept badly because of them. The bathroom is large and beautiful, but the shower drain needs fixing urgently. Water pooled every time, so you couldn't really enjoy a shower.
