Ercolini E Savi

I had a great time in Montecatini, and the Terme staff and volunteers impressed me with their dedication. I felt better after treatment, and my blood tests improved. Next time, I'd like to make a donation to the Terme. The hotel has a very central location and large rooms, and the beds were comfortable. Water was always hot, but there was so little cold water that I couldn't wash my face, and the toilet didn't flush with enough water. The rooms had impressive white marble at the entrance and staircase, with a Great Gatsby feel, but the carpet left my nose constantly stuffy even after inhalation treatment at the terme. I showed reception the booking photo, which showed wooden floors, and explained that I was struggling to breathe. They said the booking site had sent the wrong photo and that wooden floors would cost extra. I showed them the six nasal sprays I was using, but they didn't seem willing to help. The walls were also peeling from humidity and age, which probably didn't help my breathing problems while I was trying to treat them in Montecatini. There was also confusion over the city tax. Since the hotel and restaurant are the same business, I paid it at the restaurant and thought I was being charged for something else. Some staff were helpful, like the Russian lady who cleaned my room. Others were angry a lot of the time. The receptionist on the day I arrived yelled that she was busy with other things and had no time to talk to me. I understand they were understaffed, but after staying at Grand Hotel Sitea in Torino, I found that treatment unacceptable. The older lady, who I think is the owner, was very nice and elegant, and everyone behaved when she was around. It's a good four-star hotel, but I wish some of the reception ladies had been kinder.

The breakfast had lots of tasty choices, and the staff were friendly and accommodating from arrival through checkout. My room was spotless, quiet, and felt safe, so it was a comfortable place to return to after exploring. Hotel Ercolini & Savi is right in the center of town and near the train station, making it easy to get around. It was great value and gave us the base we wanted for the trip.

We were glad we chose this place instead of Rome, which felt chaotic and overwhelming for small-town people like us. The town was safe and beautifully decorated for Christmas, with plenty of nice places to eat close by and trains that took us wherever we wanted to go. We stayed a week and felt right at home. The charming rooms were clean, the staff were helpful, and breakfast each day was fresh and filling. After busy days out, we slept well in the quiet. It was a fantastic vacation.

A delight to stay here. The room, bar, lounge, and restaurant were all nicely furnished and presented, and the staff were warm, friendly, engaged, and helpful. The location was perfect.
