The owner gave us useful advice for seeing Naples and the area around it, which added a lot to our visit. The room was bright, cozy, and very clean, and the setting was charming and peaceful. It sits at the top of a 300-meter hill, reached on foot or by funicular. I'd gladly come back.

We were there with my brother, and the price seemed fair for Naples in early October, even if rates have climbed over the past few years, as they tend to. The owner was pleasant, and our clean room had both a double and a single bed. There was no daily cleaning or fresh towels, though perhaps you could ask. We didn't need either. The internet was fine for ordinary use near the front door and a bit weaker in the room. The location is near Via Toledo, at the far end of a small hill in the upper Spanish Quarter, so it could be a tough walk for anyone less fit or older. I booked through Booking.com, but suspect a direct booking might cost a little less.

Mr. Antonio was attentive and courteous throughout our stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the B&B sits in the lovely Spanish Quarter, handy for Piazza del Plebiscito and Teatro San Carlo.

We never stayed there, yet he kept 90 euros for the trouble, and at 11:30 pm we were left lost in Naples with nowhere to sleep after he threatened to kick us out. That's how it happened: the other property had stranded us, and a taxi strike meant none were available. The few drivers we could find refused to go up the steep, narrow road to the property. We transferred 90 euros, not 80, and have proof. We were willing to stay for one night and pay straight away, but the steep hill made the place too inconvenient for us. It is completely false that we refused to pay. We paid immediately at the next B&B we found through bkg. Mr. Antonio should make the location issue clear so guests don't run into this problem.
