Hotel Pignatelli Napoli

The man at check-in was nice and helpful, but the stay was a poor experience. We paid 150€ total, 135€ plus 15€ in taxes, for a room for three that cost way too much for the low standard. There was barely room to move around the beds. The shower wouldn’t drain and smelled odd, the fan was broken, and the pillows were uncomfortable. We had to ask for another pillow and towels because there were only two sets. The room wasn’t cleaned during the day, so we ran out of toilet paper and couldn’t find anyone to ask. The wifi was nonexistent, and some outlets didn’t work, which was a pain with three people needing to charge phones.

Three seniors booked two rooms with three beds requested. They brought out a cot instead. The A/C was broken, and breakfast amounted to a package of melba toast. The man at the front was lazy and wouldn’t help with bags or anything.

They charged us an extra 20 € for arriving an hour late to check in because our flight was delayed. It felt like proof they were trying to cheat us at every turn. After that, we had many more bad experiences with them. They’re rude and focused on money, and don’t care about you or whether you’re happy. Never, never again!

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location was great. But I was overcharged: the going rate is 90 euro, while Booking.com charged me 160 euros. Apparently it’s happened to others too. The local Regs posted in the room say the rate shed be 70 -90 euro. There was no tea-making setup, no water on arrival, and no A/C or fan. A fan showed up on the second day.
