Melisurgo Property

The advertised sea view was the main reason I picked this place. Instead, the windows looked onto garbage bins and cars, with flies getting in. It was on the first level of a block of flats, beside heavy traffic. More like a room with a dumpster view. Picture attached. What was called an apartment was one room with a hallway they described as a kitchen. The advertised "espresso machine" was three jars of cheap coffee, sugar, and tea, as shown in the attached picture. The toilet made a loud sound after each flush. I called the host, who told me to press the button three times, but that didn't fix it. Over our 9 days in Italy, while changing accommodations, this was the only property that charged us before arrival. When I said I wanted to leave, they said they'd charge two nights even though I didn't want to stay at all. We had to spend one night there because it was too late in the evening to change plans, but for some reason we were charged for two. I got back less than half of what I'd paid. I felt abused, stressed, and helpless, feelings nobody should have on holiday. I can see why they take payment upfront, so they can treat you however they like if something goes wrong. Breakfast came as vouchers for a nearby cafe. In the morning we learned they only covered a coffee and pastry. That hadn't been advertised, and it wasn't close to being appropriate, especially with a 5-year-old or for a 5-night stay. The WI FI worked briefly, then stopped. The hosts were abusive and kept contradicting everything I said, even though the photos speak for themselves. This was a ripoff. I was charged for two nights at a place I hadn't planned to pay for because it was advertised as something else, maybe another property.
