I wasn't the main guest because I hadn't booked the Airbnb myself, but the host's feedback was directed at me, so I'd like to respond with my side too. The host wrote, “Unfortunately, I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Helder, as he had family problems and his brother-in-law and 3 friends arrived at his house.” I'm the brother-in-law. :) They also said we arrived late at night and messaged from the street, but they couldn't get in touch with us and would have had to wait if they didn't live in the same house. That isn't true. We contacted the host and got a reply. I can provide evidence, and attached a screenshot. I don't understand that feedback. The host said they had to remind us on departure day that checkout was at 10:00 because we wanted to leave after 12:00. That's not how I remember it. We spoke the day before, and I asked about checkout because I couldn't access the Airbnb reservation. It wasn't an issue then, as the attached screenshot shows. They said the kitchen and fridge were full of food to throw away, left open for them. I'd like to see a picture, because that's not true. We may have left some butter and fruit. Even so, I'm not sure why there's a 100€ cleaning fee if guests are expected to clean the fridge. The host also said the house was very damp because we never opened the windows all week. Other comments mention this issue too. If the house has a lot of humidity, that's not the guests' fault. Please tell us next time, since we can't know about problems that were already there. I've stayed in this area before, so I believe it's an issue with the house. They said they gave us a welcome panettone, which we opened and ate half of, then left on a plate, as if we disliked the gift and were throwing it away. That was another lie. It was a really big Panettone, and we thought it was a very nice gesture. If we left any behind, which wasn't much because I ate most of it, we were in a hurry when we left. Otherwise we would have thrown it away, since we didn't leave any rubbish behind. One more thing: the house has a 3º room, not a living room. For a living room, you'd need a TV bigger than an iPad. That room was charged extra even though, as the host said, part of the group didn't go. I was a little sad about this. As a guest, I try to treat places I visit as my own and leave them in the best shape I can. I wouldn't come back. There are lots of places to rent in the area, and you can meet much nicer people. This wasn't an example of that. Now I understand why there are no guest comments on Airbnb.
