Hotel Trettenero

I’ve been returning to Hotel Trettenero for over a decade, usually two or three times each year. What keeps bringing me back is the people, with their professionalism, commitment, and kindness. They adapt their service to each person's needs, offering quality with a smile, a joke, or politeness when that fits. The rooms are bright, comfortable, and very clean, and the food is delicious, with dietary needs taken care of. There’s also a modern training room for different kinds of educational activities, plus a cosy, modern spa. I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly.

We tried the wellness centre for the first time and loved it. I’d also recommend a massage with Paola, who speaks English really well. This family-run hotel is right in the town centre, within walking distance of everything, and the staff are helpful and accommodating. Breakfast is fantastic. In winter there’s a heater; there’s no air conditioning for summer, but the fresh mountain breeze cools the room at night, and the windows open onto a beautiful view of town. After a mountain emergency above 2,000 metres in snow and thunderstorms, we arrived very late, wet, and freezing. The help they gave us to recover and carry on with our tour the next day was outstanding, far beyond what any of us expected. It was a real highlight of the E5 tour, and wonderful to meet such good people. They also give great advice for mountain excursions. The family-run place has lovely staff, a palace-like feel, traditionally designed rooms with modern equipment, and everything worked. There’s a spa, though I didn’t try it, and fine dining at a very fair price. They deserve 10 stars, not just 5.

This was our favourite hotel in Italy, out of Rome, Lake Garda, and Receoro. The staff were very nice, and the bright, spacious rooms looked newly renovated. Breakfast was included and wonderful. The hotel is right in the centre of the small city, with cute little shops and great bars. It’s also a lovely mountain area for hiking, biking, and exploring nature. A place you don’t want to miss.
