Hotel Mamy

The older man on the night shift at reception was really good and goofy, always ready with dad jokes. The hotel is handy for young people: clubs are close, and Metromare, Rimini's so-called metro, gets you to the town centre in about 6-7 minutes. The beach is a five-minute walk away, including a free section where you don't have to pay for sunbeds. But don't choose this spot if you want to be near the old town. The rooms are small but okay. The bathroom is awfully tiny, with no proper shower, and you have to pay extra for a fridge. Dinner and breakfast, served at the other hotel called como, were a bad experience. The waiters were rude and didn't restock the table unless we asked several times. Once, when we asked for bread because there was none when we arrived for breakfast, they laughed at us. The food wasn't good for the price. I wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed from August 2 to 9. The staff were nice and friendly, and our room was kept tidy with room service every day. The beach is a three-minute walk away. I recommend the place, good value.

The location made getting around easy. The metro is less than a minute away, and it comes about every 10 minutes into Rimini city centre. We could've used it or the buses to reach the train station and other places, but we made the mistake of taking expensive taxis during our first couple of days. Cafe Paradise, across the road, sells 10-journey passes for 12 euros and day tickets for 1.50 euros, both good on buses and the metro. You can also rent a bike or scooter. Bellariva beach, shops, and restaurants are under a five-minute walk away. Even with all that nearby, the hotel is on a quiet street. It made a wonderful base for our holiday. We loved our week at Hotel Mamy and already want to go back. Reception made check-in simple, let us arrive early, and kindly offered an espresso while we waited. The receptionists were friendly, knowledgeable, and always tried to help with questions. The rooms are basic, but good for the cheap price, with a small TV, plenty of clothes storage, and a shower with constant hot water. We especially liked the balcony for sitting in the evenings and watching the picturesque street. Air conditioning and a safe were free to use. The beds were made daily, the bathroom was tidied, and fresh towels were provided when needed. The cleaner was lovely, always smiling and waving. A big compliment to the kitchen team. Breakfast had something for everyone, including hot drinks like cappuccino and chocolate, cold drinks like tropical and cranberry juice and water, plus pastries, different breads, jams and spreads, cereal, yoghurt, meat, cheese, fruit, eggs, bacon, and sausage. We missed a few dinners while exploring Rimini and beyond, since dinner is at 7:30pm, but the ones we had were wonderful. There were two courses and dessert, usually a pasta choice followed by a meat choice, brought to the table by kind, quick, attentive, smiling wait staff. The buffet had salads, vegetables, potatoes, and other sides. Everything we tried was delicious. Hotel Mamy's staff have warm, genuine personalities and made the place feel like home. They offer five-star service and food at a two-star price. Thanks to every member of staff. You were incredible. Love from Ireland! Xxx

The room was clean and cozy, with a balcony, and the full pension was reasonably comfortable. The bathroom is very small, though.
