The photos make it look better than it is. It's an old hotel, and I'd put it at 2-3 stars; not sure why gmap lists 4. The sheet had stains, the bed sagged, and the lockbox wasn't fixed in place, which defeats the point. There's no gym either, which I'd expect if it were truly 4 stars.

The rooms have an antique charm and plenty of space. There are lots of different restaurants nearby, and the main sights were easy to reach from the hotel's location near both the A and B subway lines. Being close to Roma Termini also made the trip from the airport quick and simple.

We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood felt safe in the evening, and the rooms were very clean. The reception staff were welcoming and kind. The hotel is conveniently close to Termini, with plenty of cafés, restaurants, and grocery stores around it.

The old elevator may look worrying, but it got us to the 5th floor without a problem. The rooms were nice and clean, and there are lots of delicious restaurants a short walk away. It's also handy for transit, with the train station and bus nearby, and about 12 minutes from termini station.

Breakfast espresso was very good. The rooms on the upper floors are good too.
