Appartamento Il Tempio

We were four friends in Rome for a midweek stay, and this clean, quiet, roomy place worked perfectly for us. It's in an ideal spot on the north side of the Tiber, close to Trastevere and just south of the Pantheon and other great places. Since it's a basement apartment, there's no view, but that didn't matter for our trip. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

The receptionist, Layla, was incredibly kind and helpful, well beyond what you'd expect. The rooms are large, the AC works well, and there's a TV with what you need. It's close to major sights and Trastevere, yet quiet and safe. We had no street view from the basement rooms, and on our last day there was an issue with the hot water. Still, we'd definitely stay again if we return to Rome.

Layla at the front desk was the kindest person I've ever met at a hotel, or anywhere. She was ready to share information about the place and help with whatever you need. Everything was there, with amazing prices and unbelievable service.

We had a clean, spacious room for three with our own bathroom, comfortable beds, great AC, and fresh towels. There's a small fridge in the room, and you can make coffee in the kitchen shared with other guests, where you can also get water and juice. I noticed a washer but didn't use it. The place is near everything, so we walked almost everywhere except the Vatican, though there are bus stops nearby. They can arrange an airport taxi. I was concerned it was a two-star hotel, but really enjoyed our stay. The front desk staff were super helpful and nice.
