Arches B&B

We had a pleasant stay in a quiet residential area, about a 15-minute walk from the Vatican. Dinner options were great, and there was a 24 hour pastry/bakery shop and small grocery markets nearby. Service was friendly, excellent and easy to reach. We rented two of the three available rooms, both spacious. The accommodation was simple, with slightly dusty fixtures but clean floors and bathrooms. One room for two had great AC; the other, for four, didn't work as well. One bathroom had a shower in the bathtub, while the other had a separate shower. There was a shared kitchen with everything needed for basic meals, and the building had an elevator, which helped with luggage. The B for breakfast cost extra and wasn't included in our original rental, even though we thought it was. It wasn't worth the added cost: it was mostly packaged processed goods, bread and a few jam options, with coffee, tea and hot chocolate to drink. The fridge was useful, though, with a shelf for each room.

For the price, this was a great place: clean and tidy, with an amazing host. It suited our needs well as a safe, clean place to sleep. Breakfast was enough to tide us over since we liked exploring cafés in the morning. The Metro was close, and a few attractions were within walking distance. No complaints!

The location was good, close to the Vatican, and the room was very clean. We had a good stay overall, though two things could have been better: the shower was inconvenient because the water got cold after 2 minutes continuously, and breakfast was a bit disappointing.

The staff were kind and welcoming, and the simple continental breakfast was a nice extra. The room had the facilities we expected, all in good condition, and the air conditioning was especially useful during our July stay. Great location, too.
