One of the two rooms we booked smelled strongly of sewage, and we couldn’t sleep in it. When we reported it by phone, since there was no reception available from 4 pm, the staff were dismissive and rude, and denied there was a problem. Sewage issues can happen in hotels, but calling a guest a liar isn’t a way to handle one. After I complained to Booking.com, the staff member kept denying the smell, even though the cleaning lady had noticed it and acknowledged what was going on. The dishonesty and poor service were unacceptable. We had a terrible stay and strongly advise avoiding this place.

The room was nice, and the location was convenient for the main attractions. Breakfast was included and served at a nearby café, and it was very good. But we had no hot water in the shower any of the mornings. We told the host, who insisted it wasn’t true and said they’d checked multiple times. That didn’t help us when we needed to shower. The contact person’s replies came across as rude and unhelpful, with no real sense of service. Because of that, I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The room was clean, well maintained, and big enough for four people. It had the basics, including towels, shower gel, and a hair dryer. The front desk woman spoke fluent English, so communication was easy. The hotel is near Castel SantAngelo and the Vatican, with a minimart and restaurants close by. Just know that the TV channels are in Italian.

There are lots of restaurants nearby, and the hotel is very well placed in the city. It’s clean, but small. It felt like a web run hotel. With temperatures around 40° every day, I would have appreciated getting clean towels daily.

The room wasn’t large, but it was clean and comfortable. Prati felt safe and made it easy to reach interesting places, with plenty of restaurants nearby.
