The staff I met were all kind and helpful, and made my six-night stay memorable. I had a spacious ground-floor room with two bedroom areas, a kitchen and dining area, and a bathroom. Breakfast was great, with plenty to choose from. The rooftop views across Vatican City, including the dome of St Peter Basilica, are fantastic. The building is beautiful, but it’s a shame the rooftop is so underused. There’s no bar up there, and the sunshine isn’t consistent enough to draw people in. In five visits during my stay, I saw only five people, including a cleaner. Although the hotel is advertised as having a restaurant, guests couldn’t get meals there because it only serves outside groups. I didn’t fully understand why. The hotel is in the favorable Prati district, within walking distance of most major attractions and restaurants, and there are excellent transport options for when you don’t feel like walking. I highly recommend Hotel Casa Valdese Rome for its friendly staff, location, rooftop views, and spacious, comfortable rooms. I hope they can offer guests evening meals and a bar one day, and earn a five-star rating from me.

Alberto was especially friendly 🌞, as was the hotel staff in general. This is a charming, cozy place and great for groups, with rooms for two to six people. There are plenty of outdoor spots to relax with friends, including a two-story courtyard and a two-story rooftop terrace. The location is perfect for exploring the city’s attractions, and Prati feels relatively safe at night.

The people working here were warm, helpful, and seemed passionate about their jobs. The room cleanliness, though, was questionable. Some friends found bugs in their room, and I was unpleasantly surprised to see stains on the sheets after they’d been changed. Breakfast was good, but the selection wasn’t very varied and stayed the same every day.

The rooms could use upgrades, especially better soundproofing from the hallway. The breakfast was decent, and I loved the expresso coffee and lemon cake. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood near my favourite Gelateria and restaurant in Rome. I’m leaving a good review because everyone on staff I met during my stay was super polite, which made for a pleasant experience.

The free breakfast was a nice extra, and the rooms felt roomy, with comfortable beds and extra pillows available. The staff were helpful, and the hotel sits in a lovely area very close to a metro stop. It’s great value. My one small gripe is the bathroom soap, which didn’t smell pleasant and seems easy to replace.
