Circo Massimo Guest House

The team were wonderful with our questions by email before arrival, and check-in was easy. We felt looked after from the moment we came in: chocolates on the pillows, fresh fruit, pastries, and plenty of tea and coffee. One day I asked for extra creamer sachets because we’re British and drink a lot of tea. They brought more and joked that the sachets only taste good in coffee. I didn’t mind, but when we came back that night they’d bought us a carton of milk especially, at no charge. That personal service was the best. The room had a fridge, hairdryer, toiletries, smart TV, and access to a lovely shared courtyard. The weather wasn’t on our side, but it was still great to have the courtyard. The guesthouse is in a quiet, very safe area, a short walk from the train station and a row of shops, cafés, and restaurants. The Coloseum was about 15 to 20 minutes away on foot, and the location felt like a welcome break from the busy city center. My partner and I had a wonderful stay at Relais Circo Massimo Guesthouse, and I’d absolutely stay again. The staff were brilliant, and it’s a gorgeous hidden gem in the heart of Rome. We found street parking easily right outside, and it’s free from 8pm to 8am. When we arrived at night, we weren’t sure what to do about parking, but the staff replied immediately and explained it. They were kind, suggested places to eat and visit, and even wrote them down so we wouldn’t forget. After hours, there was an envelope at the front desk with everything we needed. The room was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The neighborhood is lovely, and the Colosseum is a ten-minute walk away. It can be hard to tell if a Rome guesthouse will be good, since so many are poor quality, dirty, and overpriced, but this isn’t one of those. I’ll definitely stay here again when I return to Rome. 10/10, would recommend.

You get more than you pay for here. The rooms are clean, well equipped, and have everything you need for visiting Rome. We especially liked the thoughtful touches and being able to have drinks from the fridge. The staff are extremely kind. For a quick dinner or a good breakfast, go around the corner to Vi Mi. We loved it all!

From the airport pickup to the small requests we made, everything was handled with flexibility and care. The accommodation is secure, has a relaxed atmosphere and offers privacy. It’s also ideally located close to FAO. Valentina was experienced and supportive without being intrusive. The stay exceeded my expectations, and the comfort of the accommodation made my work trip to Italy a very positive experience. My husband and I will stay here when we return for a holiday.
