Coliseum Rome Apartments

I’m extremely disappointed, especially given what we paid. The bedrooms were stuffy and strongly smelled of mould, which was visible along the baseboards in both rooms. There was mould all over the bathroom too. The sheets had long blonde hairs and what looked like dog fur on them. The shower door was broken, water leaked everywhere, and the floor was soaked and rotten. Noise was another problem throughout the apartment: we heard banging and drumming on the walls, and in one bedroom the bed even started shaking. The neighbours seemed to have a rock band or something. It was far from quiet, and the place reminded me of a hostel. I have photos and proof, and I’m disgusted by the cleanliness. I’ve read the other reviews and seen the owner call complaints false. They’re not lying about the mouldy rooms and bathroom. Avoid this place. Once you’re there, you can’t get a refund or leave without losing your money. We chose this stay for its location and the advertised private parking. That listing was inaccurate: there was no private or reserved parking anywhere. Finding a spot nearby was very difficult, and we had to pay when we did find one. The garages the owner suggested were full and sent us away. We were a family of seven arriving late at night after a nine-hour trip, so this made an already tiring arrival stressful. There was no private entrance either. Booking.com showed the listing when I entered two adults and five children, so the claim that seven people couldn’t fit doesn’t make sense to me. The owner replied that I hadn’t stayed there, but I did, with my husband and five kids. That’s why I’m posting this response. I’ll upload the WhatsApp images as proof and review the place on booking.com too, as requested. Don’t come at me with a list of supposed facts. I stayed there. The mould was everywhere. There was no private parking and no private entrance. Fix the mouldy apartments; it’s a health hazard. The owner keeps making excuses about parking and the lack of upkeep. I don’t like liars, and it’s a shame my review can’t be removed.
