Domus Flaviae

We were here for 3 nights, and the beds were really comfortable. The breakfast had a nice mix of croissants, yogurt, coffee and juice, and the fresh fruit and water were handy through the day. They also helped us figure out how to get to places, which was useful since we’d never used the metro before. We’d book here again if we return to Rome.

You get a lot of privacy here, even though you're right in the heart of Rome. The accommodations were very comfortable, and the woman in charge was kind, knowledgeable about the city, and excellent. I also really enjoyed the breakfast she provided. I’d happily stay here again. Thanks so much for a wonderful visit!

We had a fantastic stay in a lovely apartment, with welcoming staff and great room service. It’s about a 10 minute walk from collesium and close to the heart of Rome. Thank you for having us!

I stayed for three nights. This wasn't the worst guest house I've been to, but I was disappointed. The phone signal was missing throughout the building. There was wifi, but whenever I needed to use my phone, I had to go outside. I've used my phone line across nearly all of Europe, the UK, and the USA without this happening. It might be a general issue in Rome, but I could use my phone in other parts of the city, so I wanted to mention it. The room was noisy in the mornings and at night because the sound insulation between rooms was terrible. Breakfast also didn't work for me. You have to set a time the night before, and they bring the food to your room. There's no common area where you can go and get breakfast whenever you like. Eating at a tiny table in a small, dark room with no view wasn't pleasant. There wasn't any choice in the breakfast food, either. It came with a tuna and mayonnaise sandwich, very sweet pastry, and sweet fruit yogurt. I said I don't like fish in the morning and don't eat sugar, but they told me this was a typical Italian breakfast and nothing could be done. They didn't change the menu, so I skipped breakfast for the remaining two days even though I'd already paid. I only wanted some cheese and bread without sugar. That didn't feel hospitable at all.
