Flaminia 26

I only stayed one night, before a running race at Villa Borghese the next morning. Piazza del Popolo is just 100 meters from the apartment entrance, so the location was perfect for the race and would work well for a Rome visit too. The cleaning staff welcomed us kindly, and at first the spacious apartment seemed clean and comfortable. The problem came after dinner, when we tried to shower before bed. The water was cold, and the boiler showed a strange error. Turning it off and back on did nothing. I contacted the owner right away. She replied the next morning that she’d send a technician as soon as possible, and let me stay in the apartment until late afternoon to make up for the trouble. After returning from the race in the late morning, I gave up and took a cold shower. Later, the owner got in touch on her own and said I was due a refund for the inconvenience. Then I heard nothing more. When I followed up in the days afterward, she made several excuses for the delay and eventually stopped replying. I realized she had even blocked my number. I could have let the cold water issue go, but being treated this way is really annoying. Terrible behavior.
