Hilton Rome Eur La Lama

The breakfast spread was huge, with lots of hot, savory options, which was a surprise in Italy. There were hash browns, fried eggs, a very creamy omelette, smoked salmon, and more. Maybe that's because so many Americans stay here. The food was all excellent, especially the desserts. The staff were kind and chatty, which made the place feel more personal than the hotel building itself does. The location might not suit everyone, but it worked for us because the Metro is close and takes about 20 minutes to reach central Rome. It ran reliably. During Easter, the buses were mostly on time too, unlike what I'd read online. There is plenty of space for taxis outside, and the quieter streets around the hotel are easy to drive on, so driving here doesn't need to be a worry. The building is enormous and impressive, and you can't miss it. It's only three years old, and you can see that in features like the electric curtains, modern light switches, and bedside USB sockets. They're USB-A rather than the newer USB-C. The rooms are spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in lots of light. Depending on your luck, you might look out over EUR or the convention center, which is less pleasant. The room materials and colors are very appealing and definitely remind you which brand this hotel belongs to. Still, the cleanliness was inconsistent: there was a lot of dust under the beds, and the shower controls were starting to feel a bit wobbly. The TV setup isn't ideal either. It's possible, but very difficult, to plug in your own HDMI cable because the TV sits so close to the wall. There are no online services, just a few Italian channels and plenty of international ones, including channels from the Middle East and Russia. I'd definitely choose this hotel again for a stay in Rome.

The gym was a highlight for me: clean, well organized, and fitted with modern equipment. I especially liked the bikes and the LCD displays while exercising. I stayed at Hilton Rome Eur La Lama for the first time in December 2024, and the whole place made a strong impression. It’s a huge, beautiful, modern hotel with a striking glass design and a very luxurious feel. The staff were welcoming, professional, and respectful, and I felt looked after throughout. I had a wonderful stay and would gladly return.

The rooms felt spacious, clean, and up to date, and the property and its facilities had a high-end feel. The kitchen and room service served excellent food, with very good presentation. Of the Hiltons I’ve stayed in, this is one of the nicest. It offers a comfortable, luxurious stay and, for the value and presentation, honestly reminded me of a mini Conrad or Intercontinental. I’d highly recommend it.

The food is good, but the restaurant menu is limited. If you stay more than a couple of days and keep eating in, you may find yourself having the same dishes again. I’d try some local restaurants for more variety and more familiar versions of the dishes.
