Horti 14 Borgo Trastevere Hotel

The staff made us feel welcome right away, and every interaction felt sincere. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. After a very disappointing stay at another hotel, Horti 14 Borgo Trastevere Hotel completely turned the trip around. This felt like what a real 4-star hotel should be. Our large room was beautifully and thoughtfully designed, with a private terrace and lovely garden. It rained a lot while we were there, so that outdoor space made the room feel especially cozy. The bathtub overlooking the garden was a highlight, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was excellent in both size and quality. Umbrellas were available to borrow, which came in clutch in the rain. We brought our dog, and they had prepared a little couch with a blanket and dog bowls for her. At checkout, we also got a small gift. Those thoughtful touches reflected the care we felt throughout the stay. At first the location seemed a little removed, but it worked really well. The Vatican is easy to reach on foot, and Ubers or taxis were always available within 1-2 minutes, so getting around Rome was easy. Comfortable, elegant, warm, and genuinely hospitable. We'd absolutely stay again and highly recommend it for a relaxing stay in Rome.

The place is so peaceful, with jasmine and rosemary in the air, even though you're in the middle of lively Trastevere. I can't decide whether I liked the birdsong or the amazing 90s-heavy tunes more. We loved everything, from the warm welcome to spending time with resident kitty Luna. Benedetta and Alessio made terrific cocktails on the rooftop, and we spotted the sweetest turtles right outside our room. Breakfast with Mohammed was a treat too. We can't wait to come back :)

The breakfast staff deserve a special thanks. The service was excellent, with lots of fresh products and a la carte choices, and we loved all of it. Our room was beautiful, with great bedding and guest supplies, and the service was fantastic. The location worked perfectly for seeing Rome's interesting places, with the Vatican just a 20 minute walk away. Thanks to the whole team. Till next time.

We spent five lovely nights here. The modern hotel is in a fantastic spot, close to authentic local restaurants for the evenings, and lots of Rome is walkable from here. Breakfast was superb, and the shower was one of the best I've ever used in a hotel. There's also a lovely cat called Luna!
