Hotel Fenicia

We booked at the last minute and were really happy with our choice. Getting around was easy, with trains, the metro, and buses nearby. Our first hotel would've meant taking a taxi across town, so the location here was perfect. It was clean and the staff were great. Maman (spelling) was incredibly polite and friendly. The elevator may be the world's smallest, and I saw a few tiny ones on my trip. Don't stay here if you're going to complain about that. At least they have one. We loved it.

The room was clean but small, and there was a lot of noise in both the corridor and the street. We were asked to pay an accommodation tax but weren't given a receipt, which made me suspect the stay wasn't registered. There's no staffed reception, and no one answers the door buzzer, so you need to give an accurate arrival time.

The room was simple, but the bed was comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. I booked through booking.com and was happy with the value, especially for such a central spot. The train, metro, several attractions, and yellowbar, which is a lot of fun, were all a quick walk away. When I decided on a whim to add another night, the staff were very helpful. The basic room is small; the next size up was roomier and more comfortable, though more than one person needed. I’d stay again.

It’s very close to Termini station, with affordable restaurants and supermarkets like Tiger and Conrad nearby. The staff were friendly, the place was cozy and comfortable, and the AC was strong. We got clean towels and complimentary bottled water each day, and the Wi-Fi signal was good. Check which room you book: I’m a large person (270lb) and couldn’t fit in the shower cubicle. Luckily, there was another room available to upgrade to. The lift fits luggage and one person.
