The location made this a great base for a first visit to Rome. Most places, including the Trevi and Pantheon, are within walking distance, and the metro is nearby for trips to the Vatican or colleseum. There are some steep steps near the closest train station. Also, don't miss the carbonara at vladamiro restaurant around the corner, it's delicious. The room was tidy and clean, and the coffee machine was great. The mini bar was reasonably priced, and it was good value overall. The air conditioning made a loud noise, though, so I had to sleep with ear plugs, and it didn't work very well in the summer heat. We were told an airport taxi would cost 65 euro whether paid by cash or card, but the driver said it was 65 cash or 75 card. If we'd known in advance, I could've arranged cash. We wanted to use up our cash before the end of the holiday, so I had to withdraw money at the airport, where the ATM charged 75.95 including the fee. That wouldn't have been a problem if we'd been told. I told the hotel, and they apologized, but didn't offer any compensation. Despite that, I'd still recommend it.

We stayed for two nights in the King suite. The bed was comfortable, though the shape may not suit everyone. Soundproofing could be better. During our stay, everyone respected the quiet rules, so the only disruptive noise came from the old air conditioner. This isn't a hotel or serviced apartment, so don't expect that kind of experience. It's a good budget option if you don't need a car. The location is close to perfect, near several attractions but in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Our driver said the US embassy was nearby, so it was probably the safest area.

The receptionist or manager greeted me warmly when I arrived, offered some advice and a map, and showed me to my room. That welcome set the tone for a stay that was perfect for what I needed. The bathrooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the white sheets were a real plus. There was some noise from nearby rooms, but everyone seemed to understand and made an effort to keep things quiet. This is a cheap, safe, clean room in a good location for people spending their time exploring Rome. It's not somewhere to lounge all day and order room service.

The apartments are in a good, central Rome neighborhood, and the staff are kind. They clean the apartments every day. Noise is the reason I'm not giving five stars. The walls are thin, so sounds from other guests carry through, and we woke up early most days because of them or the water pump.
