Martina House

We were there for a week in late March, and the stay became one of the highlights of our time in Rome. The room was spacious and comfortable, the location was the best in the city, and Guido gave us the warmest welcome. Martina House has a charming, authentic atmosphere and felt like a home away from home. It's not for everyone, though. The lift and bathroom are rather small, and the B&B is on the fifth floor of an office and residential building. If you want a sleek, modern, impersonal hotel where you're treated like any other client, this won't suit you. But for true roman hospitality, it's lovely. Grazie Guido!

The service was great, with friendly, helpful staff who made things easy for us. The location is perfect, close to the main attractions and well connected. Inside, it's beautiful, with an authentic Italian feel that makes it both stylish and welcoming. A great choice for enjoying Rome in comfort!

The host was kind and welcoming, and the neighborhood is charming with a great location. I also loved the beautifully preserved historic elevator, which gives the building so much character. Everything else was excellent. The reason I'm giving 4 stars is the air conditioning: it's very old and barely works, so the room stayed stuffy even with a fan. That could be a big drawback in summer.

Guido and Martina made us feel welcome, and Guido explained how everything worked and pointed us toward some good places to eat. He even left us little surprises on most days. Our room was cute and clean, with lovely doors, and the apartment is in a great spot: we walked to nearly all the sights, with a bus stop about five minutes away. We stayed four nights and had a lovely time. Thanks for having us!
