Quartum Luxury Rooms in Rome

The location is fantastic, just a short stroll from trevi fountain and lots of shops. Once you find the hotel, reception is up one flight of stairs, though there’s a lift you can use. The rooms were spotless, with a very high standard of cleaning, and had plenty of modern touches: WiFi, TV, a remote-control raising bed, remote blinds, mood lighting behind a large tree wall hang above the bed, minibar, and aircon. Breakfast was more varied than at many Italian hotels, with bread, ham, and little sausage things alongside sweet options. Absolutely brilliant hotel. I can’t recommend it enough. It added a little luxury that made our stay in Rome feel just perfect!

It feels quite different from a regular hotel, much smaller and with its own atmosphere. I really enjoyed staying here and would definitely recommend it. One tip for arriving after dark: the entrance can be hard to spot, so I’m sharing a photo of the front door. There’s a small buzzer and speaker on the left to reach the host desk.

We paid 217euro for two people for two nights just before Christmas 2016, which felt like a bargain for the location and standard. The breakfast runs from 7:30-10:30am, with an all-you-can-eat buffet of coffee, milk, juices, cereal, bread, cheese, fruit, yogurt and sweets. Our room had two beds pushed together, which usually isn’t my favorite, but these were great. The mattress was firm and felt nearly new. There was a small desk, safe, fridge and two wardrobes, plus a spacious bathroom with lots of towels and toiletries, including shampoo, shower gel, shower caps, soap, toothbrushes, razors and a hairdryer. The hotel is on the first floor of an old building, with a cool, working lift in a 1950s New York style. It’s next to the street and bus stops, but I had no trouble with noise at night. I wasn’t planning to spend the day in the room anyway. We arrived around noon even though check-in starts at 3pm, and they let us in early without a problem. Check-out is 11am. They can arrange an airport transfer for 45euro. For Campino airport, the official Rome taxi fare is 30euro, but none of the drivers would take us for that amount. They may fill a taxi and charge 30euro per group, so two couples would pay 60euro, though they might accept 45. The bus to the train/bus station costs 4-5euro per person. Queues can be long, payment is cash, and the airport ATM may not work, as it didn’t for us on Monday at 11am. Booking the bus online doesn’t guarantee you’ll get on, and you still have to queue. The same applies on the way back, so be patient. It’s 1.7jm from the bus stop to the hotel door.

The Trevi Fountain is only a five-minute walk away, and the location was excellent. We were two adults with a 10-year-old, and found the room spacious and nice. We also got a warm welcome, friendly service and good cleanliness. Thank you, and good luck!
