We never got to stay, so I can't describe the hotel itself. A few hours before I arrived in Rome, Booking told me the hotel had a toilet problem in my room and couldn't honor the reservation. I believe that was a lie because the hotel was fully overbooked. I even asked to visit and see the issue, but they refused. After that, the hotel disappeared and didn't answer my calls. I had to find another place myself, pay for it, and then try to claim any price difference. The hotel and Booking handled this completely unprofessionally. They didn't even suggest compensation or any remedy for their failure. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. You could find out just 10 hours before arrival that you have no room.

The place is beautifully furnished, carefully maintained and spotlessly clean. Relais Il Babuino is just steps from the Spanish Steps, which made it an ideal base for seeing Rome. A really positive experience, and I'd highly recommend it.

Just a stone's throw from Piazza di Spagna. I'd recommend it to friends and people I know.
