Relais Le Clarisse a Trastevere

We loved our spacious, comfortable, tastefully decorated, and clean room, Il limone. Le Clarisse a Trastevere was a lovely place to stay, and the pretty courtyard was a nice extra. We arrived after reception had closed, but the self check-in was really easy. It’s in an excellent spot and made a perfect place to unwind after a long day exploring Rome.

We found the room really clean, and getting in was simple. The neighborhood felt calm and uncrowded, with Santa Maria and Janiculum Hill nearby. It was also handy being right at the corner where a taxi could pick us up. The room did get pretty warm at night in May, though, and we couldn't work out how to keep the AC on all night.

We had a roomy balcony overlooking the street, and the bed was comfortable. The room also had adjustable heat and a little refrigerator if you need one. This cozy hotel is right in the heart of Trastevere, and breakfast was included, which was a nice way to start the day. Great spot for a holiday in Rome!

The noise alone made this the worst hotel I've stayed at. Across the street there's a nightclub, though the hotel description leaves that out. On a weekend, music, bass, and people yelling outside the club, right by our room, carried on until 3 am. Then staff started setting up the courtyard for breakfast around 7, waking us again. We also had dirty towels and ants in the bed. Before the stay, my personal information was involved in a cyber breach, and the hotel offered neither a refund nor compensation. I would never stay here again.
