The stay was frustrating from start to finish. The room layout was awkward, the bathroom door wouldn't shut properly, and the towels smelled sour. It was noisy at night, and breakfast didn't start until 9 a.m., too late for tourists who want to get going early, so it was practically useless. Communication was extremely slow despite the place having no reception desk. I've stayed in plenty of places like that, but here it felt like the host was handling it as a side job. The shower temperature kept swinging around, which could be really uncomfortable in cold weather. They blamed the old building, though other places in the same building don't seem to have that issue. They only tell you about the broken elevator right before your trip, even though reviews mentioned the same problem 10 months ago. Maybe it breaks a lot, or maybe they wait to tell guests until they're stuck keeping the booking. Either way, listing an elevator on booking sites feels misleading. The building is described as four floors, but the steep stairs feel more like five or six, and hauling heavy luggage up and down was exhausting. Honestly, I could go on. Even one star feels generous.
