Relais Vatican Suites

We had a great stay. The owner was helpful and full of useful information, and the rooms were clean. The location was wonderful, too. Everything felt just right.

There was no cleaning service.

The plumbing was the biggest problem for us. Water seemed to run constantly behind the headboard, and the system was extremely noisy. We also had loud guests chatting at 6:45 in the morning while others were still asleep. Our room was supposed to look out onto the street, but instead faced the inner courtyard. It was apparently clean, and the bed was comfortable. Alexandra greeted us kindly and gave us the information we needed, even though she didn't speak Italian. The location is excellent, right by the Ottaviano metro exit, so it works well for a short stay.

Sergio and Alexandra were warm, helpful hosts, and made it easy to relax and feel almost at home. My wife, who is Spanish, often has trouble speaking here in Italy, but Sergio speaks excellent Spanish as well as perfect English. They welcomed me from the moment I booked, even though I booked literally at the last minute, and offered services like a private car with a driver, restaurant suggestions, and tours. I normally stay at a nearby four-star hotel, but it was full when I arrived late. I planned to stay two nights here, enjoyed it so much that I added another, and luckily there was a room. Many thanks to them!
