Residenza Belli

The location was very good, but our room was only almost clean, and the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned properly. We were put in another building, where the neighbours came banging and screaming at our door because they said we hadn’t “closed” the elevator door. We hadn’t even used the elevator during our stay. The neighbours don’t like tourists, so be aware. The internet didn’t work at all for three days because of “construction” work. I definitely wouldn’t recommend staying here if you want a quiet, undisturbed holiday.

I booked a triple comfort room so I wouldn’t have to share a bed with my daughter for three nights, but we got a small double instead. When I asked about it, I was told that since there were only two of us, that was what we got, and they were fully booked. The pillowcase was stained, someone else’s personal items were in the shower, and the shower head was awful. The headboard was damaged too. At least the air conditioner worked.

The neighbourhood was really cool and I’d highly recommend the area. The B&B itself was very poor, though. The staff were helpful, but the room paintwork was bad, it wasn’t very clean, the bedsheet had a hole, hot water wasn’t always available, and the WiFi in our room was unreliable. Breakfast was okay and the cappuccino was nice, but they forgot the paper for us to request breakfast almost every day. One morning they served our juice in really bad plastic cups. I strongly suggest the staff repaint and renew the rooms. If you don’t care about quality and want a cheap stay, this could work.

A big thank you to Alexandra for being so kind and helpful to me and my two sisters. Nothing was too much trouble, and he always had a lovely smile. He made our Rome break special. The hotel was clean, the beds very comfortable, and the staff friendly and helpful. They brought a continental breakfast to our room every morning. The location was central for bars and restaurants, and all the tourist spots were within walking distance. Loved it.
