From our window, we could see a cupola of St. Peter Basilica (Vatican), and it’s a 10-15 minute walk to the Vatican and other historic spots. The location is superb, and I was quite happy with my stay and would probably use the place again. Just be aware that by North American standards this isn’t really a hotel. It’s a lovely apartment with 3-4 rooms converted into a small hotel, on the fifth floor of an older building that also has apartments, offices, and other mini hotels. The old elevator is awkward to operate, though it was lots of fun. Breakfast isn’t included, but there’s a kitchen with a Keurig coffee maker and a huge supply of espresso pucks. They also provide jam and galettes.

The service was welcoming, and although there’s no breakfast, they leave complimentary snacks and provide tea and coffee facilities. We had a convenient triple room with a private bathroom and access to a shared kitchen, in a nice old building with an elevator. The metro is 2-3 minutes away, and the Vatican is a 10-15 minute walk. The Colosseum and Fontana di Trevi are easy to reach on the same metro line, about 4-5 stops.

There’s a shared kitchen, as pictured, and the room has what you need, including a mini-fridge. We arrived early in the morning and were able to leave our bags in the room. The location is great, just a 5-minute walk from the Vatican and 2 minutes from the metro.
