Getting around was a real plus: Termini is only a 4-6 minute walk, and we were in and out of the area all the time. The staff were lovely and happy to help with anything we asked, and breakfast had a great selection, though the dining area was short on seats and filled up quickly in the morning. The air conditioning was useless, despite being listed in the room details, so the room stayed warm. It gets cold at night, so opening the window is an option if you're willing to put up with street noise.

We were really pleased with the stay, especially thanks to Malak from Tunisia, who served breakfast. She was warm, cheerful, helpful, and attentive, making our mornings better and checking that everything was to our liking. The location beside Roma Termini was handy after our evening arrival from the airport, and it also made our day trip to Santa Marinella easy. The direct train takes about an hour. The room was pleasant, clean, and quiet at night, with a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, and air conditioning that cooled gently on level 1 without giving me a headache or making me sick like air conditioning often does. They cleaned daily and changed the towels. The view was into the building courtyard, but that was fine for us. Breakfast was the main letdown. There wasn't much variety, just sweet pastries, banana, sweet yogurt, Nutella, and jam, with too much sugar for us. We prefer hard cheese, ham, eggs, and vegetables in the morning, but none of those were available. A plain white roll with butter and black tea was our fallback, and Malak kindly gave us processed cheese. The lift was also troublesome when people didn't close the doors after using it, leaving it stuck on that floor and impossible to call, though the hotel wasn't responsible for that. We'd happily return, and Malak deserves the fifth star.

It'd be hard to find a worse place to spend your money. The shower door was broken, and they only sort of fixed it after two days of complaints. Worse, turning on the hot water gave us just a trickle. We reported it and were told it would be fixed, but it wasn't. In July-August, with temperatures near 40 degrees and days spent walking and sweating, we came back to a hotel we'd basically paid to sleep and shower in, and couldn't get hot water. They had four days to fix it, offer us another room, or give a partial refund, but did nothing. Their suggestion was to complain through Booking or send them an email. Unbelievable. Rome has plenty of hotels, and it'd be easy to find a better one. Don't stay here.

A decent tourist-grade hotel close to the train station.

The location made exploring Rome easy. There's a bus stop about a minute away and a train or metro station roughly 6-7 minutes on foot. The hotel occupies a building with several other hotels, with reception on the ground floor and guest rooms on the fourth. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The air conditioning wasn't powerful, but it was enough after a hot day sightseeing. The bathroom lights flickered during our stay, which was inconvenient. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was free water and juice at reception. We also appreciated the tea, coffee, and bottled water in the room during the summer heat. There's a lift, but the doors have to be shut properly after each use. If someone leaves them open, it won't come, which is frustrating after a long day when you don't want to climb several floors. Breakfast was the weakest part for us: a limited selection mostly of sweet pastries, cakes, and sugary food, with no hot items. Anyone wanting a savory breakfast may be disappointed. We spent most of our time exploring, so the hotel worked well as a clean, comfortable base for sleeping, showering, and getting ready. It was good value for our stay.
