Trevi Diamond Luxury Suites & Jacuzzi

The room was the standout for us: huge, luxurious, and well equipped. The jacuzzi is massive, though be prepared to wait around 40 minutes for it to fill. The king bed has a memory foam bamboo mattress that felt like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom is spacious, with a ceiling-mounted shower head, and they provide small soaps and shampoos. The room was well lit, and the air conditioning worked very well. We also loved how much there is within walking distance: Trevi Fountain, the Parthenon, Spanish Steps, Alter of Fatherhood, and high-end shops like Prada, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton. There are good restaurants next door and around the area, too. It was very reasonably priced even in peak season, and staying here can save on accommodation and travel costs. We found it on Agoda by sheer luck. We nearly passed because we thought it was an Airbnb room, but it turned out not to be. Finding the place was easy, and it’s only an 8-minute taxi ride from the Rome train station. The hotel is inside a building: go down the corridor, turn left through a gate, then take the lift to the third floor. A staff member checked us in, and we paid the city taxes upfront, which made checkout easy.

We were welcomed warmly at this little place in the heart of Rome. The room was amazing, and I had the best night’s sleep. I only wish I could’ve taken the mattress and pillows home. I’d book this hotel again for sure.

We spent three nights here and walked to all the places we wanted to see. The only small downside was that the TV didn’t work. They told us at check-in, and it didn’t bother us. After a day of sightseeing, the huge bath was lovely to relax in.

My reservation for March 14 to March 22 was cancelled because of COVID, and I got an email confirming a full refund. The money still hasn’t arrived. I’ve emailed several times since and heard nothing, and nobody answers the phone. Terrible service.
