Under Saint Peter's Dome

The location made it easy to walk to the Vatican, major sights, boutiques, and places to eat. We were glad to return to Ernesto and Silvia’s spacious, carefully kept apartment after long days sightseeing. It was beautifully furnished, very clean, and had everything we needed. The WiFi was strong enough for my husband and son to get some work done in the evenings while my daughter and I went shopping nearby. Our visit had special meaning because we came for the 2025 Jubilee of Hope, attended a mass at the Vatican, and received a Papal blessing from the balcony. Their place was a perfect start to our pilgrimage, and we’re so grateful to Ernesto and Silvia for making our stay such a pleasure. We’d love to come back and wholeheartedly recommend it. We arrived on a rainy Tuesday evening, and Ernesto met us at the apartment, showed us around, and answered our questions. He suggested a very good local restaurant and even shared his umbrella with my husband as he walked us over. He was a real gentleman. Both hosts were welcoming, quick to respond, and full of recommendations that made our trip better.

Ernesto was the best host I’ve worked with, replying quickly whenever we had a question or concern. It was also very helpful that his son met us at the apartment and showed us around. We had a wonderful stay. The place was beautiful, comfortable to come back to after sightseeing, and equipped with everything we needed. Restaurants and sights were within walking distance. If we return to Rome, we’ll definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time and would happily come back. Ernesto greeted us himself, got us checked in, and gave us great restaurant tips. His spacious, beautifully decorated apartment was comfortable, with Vatican City right across the street. St. Peter’s Square is a few minutes away on foot, and most major Rome attractions are reachable in under half an hour walking. There are plenty of good restaurants in the neighborhood too.

We loved the neighborhood: it felt lived-in and authentic, with appealing restaurants and gelaterias, even though St Peter's Square is just around the corner. Frequent buses also make it easy to get to the historic centre. Ernesto welcomed us in person and was friendly, responsive, and full of useful Rome tips. We stayed four nights. The apartment was peaceful, spacious, spotlessly clean, tastefully decorated, and well equipped, with lovely high ceilings. We especially liked the little balcony looking over the pretty interior courtyard. I’d gladly recommend it.
