Parking right in the square made arrival and unloading easy, and the apartment’s spot on the first floor looks out over the village’s main square. It’s a handy base for the area’s activities, nature walks, and hiking trails. The little apartment is charming and has a dining space with a well-equipped kitchen, including utensils and cookware. That worked especially well for families with young children who need to eat often. The sleeping area has a very comfortable double bed and a roomy walk-in closet. There’s a shower in the bathroom, plus useful storage under the sink. The owner had also provided a hairdryer and body care products. Anna welcomed us with a dazzling smile and genuine Lucanian warmth, which made us feel at ease straight away. We had a really relaxing time in this corner of Lucania, with outdoor walks and plenty of food and wine stops. Don’t miss the mushrooms, truffles, local meats, or the delicious dairy products from nearby Brienza. Petra Castalda B&B is a great fit for couples and families looking to unwind and enjoy the charm of a small village. I’d recommend it to anyone who appreciates the care and professionalism behind the place.

Anna was so kind and helpful, and the apartment was lovely, comfortable, and stocked with the things you’d expect at home, including soap and towels. It was missing a frying pan and a pot, though. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean and smelled fresh, and the shower had plenty of room. Breakfast had a bit of everything, and the fridge already had milk, juice, and water. The location was ideal for visiting the main sights. Most nearby parking costs money, but a full day is only €4. The one real nuisance was the bell tower next door, which rings every 15 minutes through the night and in the morning. Even as a heavy sleeper, I found it bothersome.

Anna welcomed us at check-in and was lovely, with plenty of tips to help us enjoy Sasso di Castalda. The Ponte alla Luna ticket office is only a few meters from the apartment, and the bridge itself is an easy walk away. There’s parking close to the entrance, which is a real convenience, plus bars, pubs, and a convenience store nearby. The location is just right. One thing to keep in mind if you’re a light sleeper: the church bells ring every 15 minutes, even at night. Highly recommended!

The place is beautiful, comfortable, and clearly brand new. It’s right in the center, just a few steps from all the attractions. Anna was kind and ready to help with anything we asked, and breakfast was excellent with plenty to go around. A one of a kind stay, we’ll definitely return!

Anna made sure we had everything we needed during our two lovely days there, from September 20th to 22nd. The B&B was bright, tidy, and clean, right in the town center. There’s public parking with video surveillance, and the little balcony full of flowers has a wonderful view over town. Highly recommended.
